At the Cathedral Ward you can always come talk with him, he will give you Beast-Blood Pellet.

If you will attack him, ( At the place you find him or at the Cathedral Ward. ) he will turn into a huge beast wolf. he will have lots of health and it'll be very hard to kill him.
